Get a Jump Start on Current Trends

If you are trying to decide what career you want to pursue after college, why not consider trends that are currently gaining momentum? Some trends may fizzle out after a few years, but other trends are likely to stick around — such as the push for businesses and individuals to be "greener" or more environmentally friendly.

For instance, if you want to take advantage of the growing awareness of environmentally friendly buildings and businesses, you might consider pursuing LEED training. LEED certification classes teach you what LEED certification means and how LEED projects work. Since many businesses are now trying to be "greener," there are many career opportunities for those who are educated and experienced in this subject.

You might also consider the long-term possibilities for growth in a chosen career. For example, as a LEED AP (Accredited Professional) you may be able to even go into business for yourself as a consultant.

Keep these types of things in mind when you are trying to decide which career path you would like to pursue. A current trend may offer lots of promise if you pursue it quickly, before the market becomes saturated with jobseekers!
